My name is Barb Tyers. I am a RMT who has recently moved to Whistler from Vancouver for the mountain lifestyle, and I’m really stoked for the ski season! I love helping people with massage treatments to get back out playing and moving pain free. Prior to earning my RMT certification, I was a personal trainer for 13 years and competed at the national level in field hockey and ice hockey. Before moving out west, I earned a bachelor’s degree in physical and health education with honours from University of Toronto. I attended the 3000 hour RMT program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT), where I taught health science courses to future RMT’s for years. I have taken many continuing education courses in a variety of massage techniques, focusing a lot on Craniosacral techniques to help treat concussions and headaches. When I am not in clinic, you will find me out trail running, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, snowboarding, and practicing yoga. Looking forward to living in the Whistler community full time and meeting like minded adventurers!
